APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. (AP) — A man who was reported missing while hiking in the Superstition Mountains has been found dead.
Maricopa County Sheriff's spokesman Jeff Sprong said Friday morning that he had no other details.
The man in his mid-50s had been considered in good health. Authorities believed he had taken a water pack with him when he went on a hike early Sunday.
He was reported missing that evening, and crews searched throughout the night for him.
His car was found near First Water Trailhead.
