PHOENIX (AP) — High school and college students have staged another protest against Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's immigration enforcement policies.

Several hundred students marched Friday afternoon near Arizona State University's downtown Phoenix campus.

The protesters gathered at a park near Central Avenue and Fillmore Street and began marching toward a downtown building where Arpaio and his office leases space.

Friday's protest was coordinated by the ASU chapter of Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán, a student organization that promotes political participation for social change.

The students claim Arpaio is unfairly targeting Hispanics in his fight against illegal immigration.

At Tuesday's protest, hundreds of students spoke out against Arpaio. They blocked a street and six people were arrested, but federal immigration authorities decided not to deport them. There were no reported arrests on Friday.
