Benevilla’s Birt’s Bistro is located at 16752 N. Greasewood St., Surprise, and is open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday as well as 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and Friday.

Breakfast returns to Birt’s Bistro & Bookstore on Thursday. New hours will be 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday as well as 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wedneday and Friday.

Live, local music is offered throughout the month as are a wide variety of gently used books and a handpicked selection of work by local artists.

5 p.m. - Birt’s Jazz Jam. House band Joan & Company welcomes singers and musicians sitting in and performing. There is a $5 cover charge.

8 a.m.-1 p.m. - Book sale: All the books you can fit into a reusable bag for $8.

5 p.m. - Len King & the Swing Kings features a 16-piece dance band that performs big band and swing.
