Surprise salutes canines at Bark in the Park Saturday

The City of Surprise Community and Recreation Services will host its inaugural “Bark in the Park” event from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the community park on the Surprise Recreation Campus, 15953 N. Bullard Ave.

“Bark in the Park” will feature a variety of pet-friendly vendors, dog demonstrations, flyball and adoptions. All-Star Animal Hospital will be offering discount micro-chipping for only $35.

There will also be a pet costume contest and Chihuahua/Doxie races.

Registration is free for the races but pre-registration is recommended. Call All-Star Animal Hospital at 623-546-0202 to register.
