Benevilla’s Birt’s Bistro is located at 16752 N. Greasewood St., Surprise, and is open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday as well as 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and Friday.

The bistro features fresh, made-to-order sandwiches, salads, specialty drinks and light appetizers plus Arizona beer and wine.

Breakfast returns to Birt’s Bistro & Bookstore on Nov. 1. New hours will be 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday as well as 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wedneday and Friday.

Live, local music is offered throughout the month as are a wide variety of gently used books and a handpicked selection of work by local artists.

5 p.m. - Jazz sounds with John Mueller and Heather Algar on keyboard and vocals

5 p.m. - Birt’s Bistro features a new group, Simply Smooth, which plays jazz and blues music with vocals, guitar and percussion.
