Desert Palms Presbyterian Church, 13459 W. Stardust Blvd., Sun City West, invites the community to a free Christmas concert of sacred music at 3 p.m. Dec. 9 in the church sanctuary.

Baritone soloist Charles Johnson of Music Serving the Word will render time-honored inspirational holiday classics, accompanied by keyboardist Dale Niehuas. Johnson has performed on the operatic stage, in sanctuaries, night clubs and is co-founder of Limelighters, one of Nashville’s most successful talent agencies. He serves as executive director of Majesty Foundation.

A reception will follow the concert in fellowship hall.
