Cooking class assists patients with cancer

Sun Health will sponsor a seminar to provide healthy cooking tips for cancer patients.

The free program will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Nov. 14 at Grandview Care Center, 14505 W. Granite Valley Drive, Building B, Sun City West.

Chef Madelyn Pryor will cover cancer-related nutrition topics and offer a cooking demonstration and tasting that features vegan menus loaded with antioxidants, phytochemicals, high fiber and healthy dairy alternatives.

Healthy weight maintenance and meal planning also will be included in the session, sponsored in partnership with The Wellness Community-AZ,
