A community open house is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 8 to mark the opening of a state-of-the-art endoscopy center at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center, 14502 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West.
The Banner Del E. Webb New Endoscopy Center will feature five new procedure rooms, four general endoscopy rooms and one bronchoscopy room.
The new department will provide in- and outpatient gastroenterology services. Besides upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, the new center will include endoscopic ultrasound, double balloon enteroscopy, esophageal manometry and advanced pulmonary procedures.
Endoscopy involves the use of slender tubular instruments used to examine the inner parts of the body for diagnostic tests or minimally invasive interventions.
