Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City will report on advances in treatment for atrial fibrillation at its next session in the Taking Care of Your Heart Series.

The meeting is scheduled from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. June 25 in Memorial Hall, inside the Support Services Building, 13180 N. 103rd Drive, Sun City.

Dr. Mark Burns will discuss cryoablation, which is used to treat atrial fibrillation, the most common and one of the most undertreated heart rhythm disorders. Participants will learn more about this treatment option for patients who are failing to respond to other medications and procedures.

Following the presentation, participants will go into small group discussions with registered nurses, pharmacists, exercise specialists and nutritionists. Participants are encouraged to sign up for multiple classes because presentation topics vary throughout the year.

To register, call 623-455-5633 or visit www.sunhealth.org and click “Community Education” at the top of the page.

The Sun Health Community Education Series presents free ongoing health and wellness programs on a variety of health care, healthy living and personal and financial safety topics focused on seniors. Events occur several times each month at locations across the Northwest Valley.

Should they stay or should they go?

Arizona lawmakers are advancing a bill allowing business owners to ask people to leave if they have service animals that are out of control or are not housebroken. The proposal originally would have made it a Class 2 misdemeanor for a second violation of lying about having a service animal. Should lying about having a service animal be a crime in Arizona?
