Gov. Jan Brewer proclaimed May 28 as Rosie Riveter Day, giving the Sun City chapter of the group a reason to celebrate.
The Sun City Rosie the Riveter Chapter will have an open house on that Saturday for guests to hear about the World War II experiences of the members.
The event will be held on the McMillin Terrace at the Del Webb Sun Cities Museum from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cookies and punch will be served.
