Nearly 400 people attended Sun Health Foundation’s Healthy SUNsations 2012 — “One Hip Party!” on Saturday at Wigwam Arizona.

The event featured more than 60 silent auction and five live auction items and raised more than $50,000 from the auction and post-auction guest donations.

This year’s event was different from past fundraisers as high-tech bidding with wireless keypad technology was used. Guests could bid on their favorite items on an electronic handheld device and track progress, including competitive bids, via the running tally displayed on a large screen.

“For the first time in our 20-year history, we spanned every generation at this year’s gala,” said Gina Ore, Sun Health Foundation’s vice president and chief development officer. “We had generous partners from financial to physicians representing orthopedics, ER, cardiology, radiology and research; with tremendous support from our longtime friends and new leadership partnerships.”
