First United offers way to survive holidays

First United Methodist Church announces the following event at 9849 N. 105th Ave., Sun City:

A GriefShare seminar on how to survive the holidays is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 10.

The seminar features practical suggestions and reassurance through video interviews. Topics to be discussed include:

• Why the holidays are tough.

• What to expect.

• How to prepare.

• How to manage relationships and holiday specials.

• Using the holidays to help you heal.

There is no charge for the event, but those who attend may purchase a book with 30 daily readings that provide additional insights and ideas on holiday survival for $4.
