Many changes have been done to Sun City Country Club since its inception in 1967, one of which was in 2007 when the Loegering family purchased the club changing it to a semi-private club.
It’s been five years now, and Sun City Country Club is planning an event to celebrate its five-year anniversary. The local golf community is invited to participate.
“The course is in remarkable shape and reflects the efforts and improvements that have been made over the past five years”, said Anne Inman, general manager of Sun City Country Club. “We are excited to have such a large celebration that the community can participate in even if they don’t golf.”
The club is going to host its anniversary party July 14, starting with a celebration golf tournament at 7 a.m. Cost is $50 and includes golf, cart, range, lunch, one drink ticket to use on their beverage cart and a 10-round punch pass. Space is limited, so sign up early.
In addition to the golf tournament, there will be burgers and hot dogs available for purchase on the patio. Music will be provided by Robert Wilson, and there will be a variety of vendors showcasing their products and services.
“We hope to have a feel of an outdoor market, a little something for everyone” says Michelle Rohan in charge of social media and marketing for the club. “Be sure to stop by our booth to learn about our $5 Golf Clinics, lessons, member information and benefits as well as other specials we have going on.”
They will also have a drawing for prizes for those who sign up for their weekly email newsletter while visiting the booth.
Vendor booths, both inside and out are still available. If you would like more information about the golf tournament or how to participate as a vendor, visit www.suncitycountryclub.org or call Inman at 623-933-1354.
