The deadline to register for the Teal Ribbon Golf Tournament is Monday.
The tournament is open to all golfers, regardless of handicap and is a nine-hole event at either Lakes East Golf Course or Lakes West Golf Course, 10433 Talisman Road in Sun City.
The tournament is at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 12. Registrations begins at 10 a.m. Entry fee is $25 and includes lunch plus a donation to the Arizona Cancer Center for Ovarian Cancer Research.
Competition will include longest putt, closest to the pin on a drive and most accurate drive on designated holes. An after-golf program will be at Sundial Recreation Center, 103rd and Boswell in Sun City.
The keynote speaker is Dr. David S. Alberts, director, Arizona Cancer Center. Winners will be announced and prizes awarded. A diamond pendant from Setterberg’s Jewelers, artwork, a chipper from Van’s, a Datrek golf bag, a Calloway golf bag donated by Lexus Arrowhead are among items for the the silent auction.
Memorial hole sponsorships, which include a personalized sign, are $100. Donations are welcomed. Applications are available at all Sun City golf courses or you may contact Laurel at 623-972-2133.
