Daily News-Sun

Surprise police officials, Councilman John Williams and Northwest Ranch neighborhood watch program chairman Ted Cimino canvassed the shopping plaza at Greenway and Loop 303 Tuesday to introduce merchants to the "Neighborhood Watch Business Partnership" program.

The goal of the visits was to sign up businesses that are willing to give discounts to active Neighborhood Watch participants.

Surprise has a large amount of neighborhood watch participants. Surprise officials hope to help those who care enough to participate in neighborhood watch by providing discounts during these hard economic times, and to stimulate business in the community.
