Comments 0 | Recommend 0

Classic, competition and collector cars will highlight the Vistancia Car Show scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 13 at the master planned community in Peoria.

The event will be at Vistancia Marketplace, near the entrance at Vistancia Boulevard and El Mirage Road, west of the Walgreens parking lot. Vistancia is northwest of Lake Pleasant Road and Happy Valley Parkway.

Free and open to the public, the show will feature a variety of vehicles, including a 1965 Ford Mustang and 1967 Volkswagen Bug, owned by Vistancia residents and local car club members.

A Peoria Police Department police cruiser and Peoria Firefighters fire engine will also be on display. Live entertainment will feature the Andie Ramirez Band.

Activities, sponsored by Vistancia Marketplace businesses, will include a pizza-eating contest, raffles, a caricaturist and more. In addition, the city of Peoria Teen Team will be on site with bounce houses for the kids.

The event will also feature an on-site car pinstriping service. The community will collect canned food to benefit a local food bank.

For questions about participating or attending the event, contact Monica Hollins, Vistancia lifestyle director, at 623-215-8646. For information about the community, call 623-933-6233 or visit www.vistancia.com.
