Spring training 2010 in Surprise features a 29-game schedule, as the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals host multiple visits by the Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The eighth annual spring training season at Surprise Stadium kicks off March 4, with the annual “Charity Game” benefiting the Surprise Sundancers and their efforts in supporting youth programs in the West Valley.

The Surprise Recreation Campus will accept mail-order season ticket requests beginning Dec. 1. People can call 623-222-2222 or visit www.surprisespringtraining.com to obtain a ticket brochure.

Individual game tickets will go on sale Jan. 9, beginning at 7 a.m. at the Surprise Recreation Campus Box Office, 15960 N. Bullard Ave.

Tickets will also be available through Ticketmaster online at www.ticketmaster.com, by calling 800-745-3000 or any Ticketmaster outlet (Macy’s, Fry’s Marketplace and FYE). A service charge will be applied to each ticket purchased through Ticketmaster.

2010 individual ticket prices will remain the same as 2009: Lower Dugout - $23; Upper Dugout - $20; Infield - $17; Plaza - $13 and Lawn - $7. Group ticket packages are available for groups of 20 or more, as well as season ticket packages. Parking is free.

Season Ticket Packages include:

Kansas City Home Games (15):  $180 - $285

Texas Rangers Home Games (14): $168 - $266
