Heritage Tradition offers learning opportunities
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Heritage Tradition will have two seminars in December. Both events are free and open to the public.
• 10:30 a.m. Wednesday: Explore Peru and the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu, often referred to as "The Lost City of the Incas." See breathtaking scenery at 11,000 feet on the big screen in Heritage Hall with adventurer Peter Rowlson.
• 3:30 p.m. Dec. 10: Learn about osteoporosis, which means "porous bones." Dr. David A. Sheitelman explains osteoporosis, a skeletal disease affecting women and men.
"Osteoporosis is a condition in which bones have lost minerals — especially calcium — making them weaker, more brittle and susceptible to fractures," Sheitelman said.
He will discuss how to prevent osteoporosis, as well as how to treat this condition. There will be a question-and-answer session following the seminar.
Reservations are required for both seminars. Call 623-742-1000 to reserve a place.
Heritage Tradition is at 19303 New Tradition Road, Sun City West.
