The 86-year-old Surprise man with symptoms of dementia who had been missing since Saturday was found Sunday night in Cave Creek.

Ralph Thomas drove away Saturday morning from Vista de la Montana Active Living Apartments, 18510 N. Parkview Place.

He was found unharmed and in good health on Sunday evening in an area 2 miles north of the Carefree Highway.

Thomas has been reunited with his family, Surprise police said.
