Comments 0 | Recommend 0

At about 6 p.m. Monday, officers from the Surprise Police Department responded to an incident in the 15200 block of North 134th Lane in Surprise.

Upon arrival, officers contacted a 15-year-old, girl who reported she had been assaulted in her home by three other teenage girls. She said she knew two of the girls, police reported.

The teen victim told police the three girls entered her home through an open back door. Police said she had fought with the girls, cutting one of the subjects with a kitchen knife. That subject fled the scene first, eventually followed by the two remaining girls. The victim reported having fought with these girls previously. All three subjects are still at large.

The victim was transported to Del E. Webb Hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries. The victim's 6-year-old sibling was also home at the time of the incident but was unharmed.

The incident is under investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Surprise Police Department at 623-222-4000.
