Arizona asking for a Super return engagement

Officials in charge of persuading NFL owners to hand Super Bowl XLVI to Arizona and specifically Glendale arrived in Atlanta on Monday.
The Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee will be bidding for the game against delegations from Indianapolis and Houston.
Indianapolis attempted to woo the 2011 game to their city last year, but lost out to the group from North Texas. Glendale also bid for the 2011 game.
Indianapolis will be opening the state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Stadium this summer.
Houston hosted Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004 and Super Bowl VIII in 1974. The game in 2004 was hosted at Houston's Reliant Stadium and would be again if the city is awarded the bid.
Glendale was home to Super Bowl XLII in February and Tempe hosted the game in 1996.
Super Bowl XLII at University of Phoenix Stadium was the most watched game in the history of the NFL.
According to a study released last month, February's game generated $500.6 million in direct and indirect spending by visitors and organizations who came to Arizona for the event.
The economic impact study was conducted by the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee Chairman Mike Kennedy and Host Committee President Bob Sullivan will join Arizona Cardinals President Michael Bidwill to make Arizona's case for Super Bowl XLVI on Tuesday.
Representing the city of Glendale is City Manager Ed Beasley.
Following the presentations the owners will vote and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will announce the winner later that afternoon.
