Gunfire errupts at local convenience store
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Shots were fired at the Circle K store in Youngtown Wednesday, after it was robbed at gun point.
The information, released by El Mirage Police states that an El Mirage officer was in a drive-thru in the area of the crime when a civilian approached him and told him of the situation.
The officer called in the information as shots were heard coming from the Circle K. A perimeter was established and the store was cleared.
According to police, witnesses saw two Hispanic leaving the area on foot firing a weapon.
Shell casings were found at the scene.
Youngtown Police Department arrived on scene and took over the investigation.
Youngtown Police Lt. Kim Johnson said the suspects are described as two Hispanic men, wearing hoodies and bandanas. One had a rifle and another was seen with a handgun. When they left the store, the two got into a late year red Ford Focus with another suspect.
