National Christmas tree will make stop in Peoria

The National Christmas Tree will be making a stop in Peoria on its way to Washington, D.C., at about 10:45 a.m. Nov. 12.
It will be coming off Loop 101 at Thunderbird Road, heading west to Rio Vista Community Park, where is will spend about an hour. Peoria police have invited children to come see the tree and take part in activities.
Rio Vista Community Park is at 8866 W. Thunderbird Road.
