The Recreation Centers of Sun City West will discuss the possibility of a community flag at a workshop meeting Friday. The idea has been mulled by Rec Centers board members and other groups in the community for the last couple of years and was first generated among Properties Committee members. "Since then, it’s kind of turned into a discussion about a unified logo for Sun City West," she said. "The logo would then be used on the flag or anything else representing the community as a whole." The board will also discuss an incident involving a member. The hearing will be open to residents and then the board will convene into a closed executive session to discuss any action to be taken. The workshop will begin at 9 a.m. in the R.H. Johnson Lecture Hall, 19803 R.H. Johnson Blvd. This month’s regular meeting will be at 1 p.m. on Nov. 19 in the R.H. Johnson Social Hall. Both meetings are open to the public.
Katy O’Grady, general services officer for the Rec Centers, said the committee wanted a flag to hang in several locations around the community.
