Cathedral Health Services offers preventive screenings
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Heart Disease is the No. 1 killer among men and women in the United States.
A large number of those suffering from heart disease do not have any obvious outward signs; for many, their first symptom is a heart attack. Cathedral Health Services will be at the following locations, providing a health screening designed to detect cardiovascular and other diseases.
- Sept. 28 at Lakeview United Methodist Church, 10298 W. Thunderbird Blvd.,Sun City.
The mission of CHS, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is to save lives through education, detection and prevention of life threatening diseases. The goal of the health screening is to target the early detection of specific life-endangering conditions such as heart disease, stroke and aneurysm that can go undetected for long periods of time. Untreated, these conditions can cause needless personal pain, diminished quality of life and financial hardship.
The program provides the following screenings:
- Heart Screening
- Atrial Fibrillation
- Stroke screening
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm
- Thyroid Screening
- Peripheral Arterial Disease
(Blood Oxygen Saturation, Blood Pressure and Pulse testing is provided to all who participate)
Most individual screening tests are $45; the heart screening is $100 and the complete screening package is offered for $175. Appointments are required.
In addition to the screening services CHS provides a consultation to review the results and to help identify personal health risk factors. This information can aid in the development of a personal wellness plan to assist in taking proactive steps to maintain one’s health.
