    Daily News-Sun

El Mirage Police arrested two men late Monday morning after they ran into another vehicle and threatened to kill the driver.

Oscar Occhiline, 42 and Hector Varella, 25, were arrested and charged on suspicion with two counts of aggravated assault.

The two men had pulled up to the intersection of Primrose Street and the Grand Avenue access around 11:20 a.m. when they spotted a 22-year-old man, picking up his 7-year-old daughter, El Mirage Assistant Police Chief Bill Louis said.

Louis said all three men previously had a dispute before the incident.

When Varella and Occhiline spotted the man, according witnesses, they made a U-turn in their vehicle and attempted to block the victim from driving forward.

The two men slammed on the brakes, trying to keep the man from driving off. They then threatened to kill him.

As witnesses watched the incident, Louis said a local tire shop owner let the victim and daughter into his business until police were called.
