Piano, singing duo slate SCG concert

Sun City Grand will present "An evening with Judy Roberts and Vicki McDermitt" at 7 p.m. Jan. 30. Roberts, a pianist/singer from Chicago, is best known for her fun-loving approach to an eclectic and extensive repertoire, her hard-swinging piano playing, her ability to combine lush and sensitive vocals with rapid-fire scat singing and for her ability to communicate with her audience in a relaxed and intimate style. McDermitt worked for many years in Los Angeles providing vocals for television production specials as well as working as an independent sessions singer for major recording companies. Tickets are $10 for reserved seating in the Sonoran Plaza Ballroom, 19753 N. Remington Drive, Surprise. Tickets may be purchased online at www.scgrandmusicclub.com.
