Kung Fu school collects for Packages From Home

The staff of Shaolin Kung Fu at 91st Avenue and Cactus Road in Peoria, will be having a barbecue and giving away free hand-held American flags from 3 to 8 p,m. Saturday. The school also is collecting donations of goods for Packages From Home, a nonprofit organization that sends needed items to troops overseas. Items needed include sunscreen, chapstick, powdered drink mix, Otter Pops, moisturizer, eyedrops, deodorant and cool neck ties. For a complete list of needed items, visit www.packagesfromhome.org.
