Mosaic launches Kindervention pilot program in March
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Mosaic has partnered with Kid Kountry and the Community Church of Joy to provide a free program for families with children with a developmental delay or disability.
This program will launch March 1 at the Community Church of Joy, 21000 N. 75th Ave., Glendale.
Mosaic has been a leader in providing quality developmental care for children birth to 3 years old for more than 10 years. There is a need to enhance one-on-one therapies to help children develop their potential in a group setting. Kindervention is funded by grants to provide free services for children between the ages of 18 months to 5 years.
“Kindervention is an innovative approach to working with children. We see children as having many abilities, and at Kindervention, children will be encouraged to build upon their strengths and build skills that will prepare them for school.”
Kindervention is designed to blend children with various skills in an environment to help them learn necessary skills from the program leader and from each other. Through a specialized curriculum comprised of strategies used in Mosaic's Early Intervention therapy, the intent is to help children strengthen their skills and provide an inclusive environment for children with disabilities and developmental delays.
Mosaic in Arizona serves 300 children and adults throughout Phoenix, Mesa and Surprise and is lead by Executive Director Brenda Redel.
For information about the various group sessions and a schedule, contact Brandon Ramsey, Community Relations Manager at Mosaic in Arizona at 602-864-6030 or e-mail brandon.ramsey@mosaicinfo.org.
