Family of missing woman waits in suspense

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

Surprise police Sgt. Mark Ortega said the family of a missing Surprise woman is "very concerned" because this is "way out of character for her, she had very little Canadian money on her and none of her bank accounts have been accessed."

Leslie Widynowksi, 63, is described as a white female, 5 foot 2, 125 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

She was last seen at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at her home near the 16300 block of West Sandia Park Drive in Sun City Grand.

Her vehicle, a silver 2004 Lexus ES 330 bearing Canadian plate TZU-905 is also missing from her residence.

Detectives were advised that Widynowksi’s vehicle only had half a tank of gas, and she had little to no money with her. She is from Canada and has few acquaintances in Arizona.

Police said they were told Widynowksi does not suffer from any mental illnesses or impairments.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Surprise Police Department at 623-222-4000.
