Robbery suspect

A man who robbed  a McDonald's in Peoria last month also may be responsible for a robbery at the fast-food chain's Sun City store, police said.

Police are searching for  a man described as 20 to 25 years old, 5 foot 10 and about 160 pounds.

The robbery of the McDonald's, 9119  W. Union Hills, occurred 10:55 a.m. May 8, police said. The man brandished a black semi automatic handgun and drove away in a tan or gold SUV.

The suspect had the employee put the money in plastic grocery bags, which he brought with him, police said.  When the suspect left he told the employee not to follow him, according to officials. The suspect was seen getting into the passenger side of the SUV, which was driven by a white male described approximately 6-feet to 6-feet-2 inches tall with blond curly hair.

The robber, police said, may also have been involved in the armed robbery of the McDonald's at 99th Avenue and Bell Road in Sun City. That case is being investigated by the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

If anyone has information on this they are asked to call Silent Witness at 480-Witness or the Peoria Police Tip Line at 623-773-7045.
