Tour Sun Health Research Institute to kick off Alzheimer's Awareness

Banner Sun Health Research Institute is gearing-up for Alzheimer’s awareness month in November by offering a special tour of the institute free to the public.

Participants will get a peek into exciting Alzheimer’s research discoveries and the ability to have access to some of the greatest research minds. The November tour will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon Nov. 3. The institute is at 10515 W. Santa Fe Drive in Sun City. Space is limited. Call 623-875-6565 to register.

Visitors will be led on a 90-minute tour through various areas of the research institute, including laboratories that concentrate on discovering new treatments for Alzheimer’s, fibromyalgia and arthritis. Participants will:

  • Tour the one of the largest brain banks in the world.
  • Learn about adult stem cells and how they are being used to help cure cardiovascular disease.
  • Hear about current cutting-edge clinical research studies.
  • Hear from leading scientists as they describe their research.

Regular tours are conducted on the first Tuesday of each month unless otherwise indicated.
