Daily News-Sun

An 86-year-old Youngtown woman returned home Saturday afternoon to find her house being ransacked by a burglar.

Lt. Duren Robertson, a Youngtown Police spokesman, said the woman, whose name wasn't released, returned home around 3:30 p.m. and noticed her door unlocked. She walked into the house and noticed several of her belongings piled up in the living room.

An unidentified man then emerged from her bedroom and told her to get out of the home. The woman then went to her neighbors and called the authorities.

Robertson said police thought the man was still in the home and asked for assistance from the Maricopa County SWAT team.

The man had fled.
