F-16 flyovers celebrate various July 4 events

Luke Air Force Base will participate in Independence Day observations throughout the Valley with F-16 flyovers supporting various community events on July 4. 

July 4 flyovers will begin at 7 p.m. with two simultaneous two-ship formations around the metropolitan area. One formation will cover Goodyear, Tolleson, Tempe and Phoenix. The second formation will cover the Peoria, Litchfield Park and Surprise. The evening will culminate with a flight over the base for Luke's celebration. All flyovers should be completed by 7:45 p.m. 

During these times, the public should not be alarmed if they observe F-16 aircraft flying over their area or out of the normal flight path for Luke jets.
