RCSCW screens ‘Elf' in Beardsley Park

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

The Recreation Centers of Sun City West will play the fun holiday movie "Elf" on an outdoor screen in Beardsley Park at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 5. Residents and visiting youngsters are invited to this free show.

Concession stands will be open at 6 p.m., offering popcorn, coffee and other beverages. Movie-goers are encouraged to dress warmly and bring a blanket or chair to sit on while watching the show.

"Elf," rated PG for some mild rude humor and language, stars Will Ferrell, James Caan and Ed Asner. It is the story of young Buddy, who is inadvertently transported to the North Pole, where he is raised as an elf by Santa’s helpers. Once grown, he decides to go to New York and find his real dad. Bob Newhart even gets into the act in this cute comedy.

Beardsley Park is at 12755 W. Beardsley Road, Sun City West.
