Latest county health inspections

Each week, Surprise Today publishes health inspections provided by the Maricopa County Environmental Services’ Division of Health Services. Inspectors list critical, repeat and noncritical violations. A critical violation is more likely than noncritical to present a significant health hazard that could cause contamination or food-borne illness. Surprise Today receives results three weeks after inspections take place. Restaurants are given two weeks to clear up any problems, so violations may have been rectified by the time reports are published. Establishments in the top 25 percentile, with the best scores, will receive a gold seal, the middle 50 percentile will receive a silver seal and the lower percentile will receive no seal. A score of zero means no violations were found and that establishment would receive a gold seal. The following violations are described in detail on the county Web site, www.maricopa.gov. Residents without Internet access, who want more information on a restaurant listed below, may call environmental services at 602-506-6625. One asterisk indicates the violation was corrected at time of the inspection. Two asterisks indicate the violation must be corrected prior to re-inspection. The results of inspections reviewed Aug. 3 through 9 and details of critical violations are listed.
