County assessor releases 2007-08 property valuations
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Sun City and Sun City West property valuations increased up to an average of 10.15 percent from 2007 to 2008.
The Maricopa County Assessor’s Office notified the Sun City Taxpayers Association of the increase, also noting that valuations for residential property in Sun City jumped between 50 percent and 60 percent for 2007.
The median Sun City home valuation is $146,500 for 2008, while it was $133,000 in 2007.
In Sun City West, the median home valuation is $201,500 for 2008, a 6.61 percent increase from $189,000 in 2007.
The increase from 2007 to 2008 was less in Sun City Grand, where valuations went up about 3 percent, from $264,500 to $272,500.
The total increase in valuation of all residential property in the county increased by 13.37 percent, from $194,500 to $220,500 for 2008.
