Banner Olive Branch Senior Center announces November community programs

Banner Olive Branch Senior Center is continuing its free community outreach with a variety of educational programs in November.

Unless noted otherwise, all programs are in the dining room of the senior center, 11250 N. 107th Ave. in Sun City, adjacent to the United Church of Sun City. Reservations are encouraged. Call 623-974-6797.

  • AARP Defensive Driving classes – 8 a.m. to noon Nov. 3. Reservations are required. 
  • Betty Peek, concert pianist - 10:30 a.m. Nov. 5. Peek is a member of the Sun City Concert Band and the Piano Club. She has performed with the Sun City Symphony and the Chamber Orchestra. Peek toured with the Sun City Orchestra when they played in Vienna. She has a master's degree in piano from Chicago Conservatory of Music.
  • Polynesian Hawaiian Luau  - Nov. 6. Join the Olive Branch for a Polynesian-inspired lunch and Hawaiian dancers to entertain. Reservations required.
  • Veteran’s Day Celebration with a Luke Air force Base speaker10:30 .m. Nov. 10. The Luke Honor Guard will present the colors.
  • “Shingles” - 10:30 .m. Nov. 19. A health program presented by Dr. Elizabeth Pogge, assistant professor at Midwestern University College of Pharmacy, Glendale.
