Martin Voss of Peoria won $157,846 when he hit a Wheel of Fortune quarters MegaJackpot at the Hon Dah Casino and Resort in Pinetop Oct. 15.

Voss said he was vacationing in the area and had grown rather fond of the winning machine.

"I played this same machine the last couple of days," he said.

After investing $20, Voss said he was surprised to learn he had won the top progressive prize.

"I thought there should have been more bells and hoopla," he said.

The MegaJackpot winner said he's not sure how he will spend his winnings.

The prize is the third to paid at the casino so far this year, brining Hon-Dah's 2009 MegaJackpot payout to $382,797. The casino has paid five MagJackpots totaling more than $1 million since 2001. All six jackpots have been paid on the Wheel of Fortune quarters progressive system. The largest prize paid to date at the casino was $303,974 in April 2004.
