Nominate your favorite teacher for Silver Apple Award
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Students in the Dysart Unified School District are encouraged to nominate their favorite teacher for the Silver Apple Award, sponsored by Channel 3. All students enrolled in kindergarten through 12th grade may nominate their favorite teacher for the Silver Apple Award.
The Silver Apple Award program runs from August 10, 2009 through March 5, 2010.
Eight teachers across the state of Arizona will be chosen as recipients of the Silver Apple Award from October through May. Each winning teacher will receive a Silver Apple Award and $500 to be used toward classroom projects or materials.
To nominate your favorite teacher, students can pick up the nomination form from their school office. All nomination forms must be complete including a 100 word or less description of why the teacher is special.
Additionally, all nominations must be signed by the school administrator and mailed to:
