Sunrise Mountain junior wins award for computer skills

Kellie Reynolds, a junior journalism student at Sunrise Mountain High School has won a National Award for Aspirations in Computing.

The National Center for Women & Information Technology awarded Reynolds the Arizona Affiliate Award for her work developing and maintaining the Sunrise Mountain Mustang Express school newspaper’s website as well as her work in media at the school.

In addition, the Arizona State Ira Fulton College of Engineering awarded Reynolds a $1,000 renewable  scholarship. She was one of 14 state winners.
