Glendale police investigators have put together clues they hope will lead to the arrest of the driver involved in a hit-and-run accident last weekend that killed a 23-year-old Phoenix man.

On Sunday, sometime between 2 and 3 a.m., John Mangan was struck by a motor vehicle and killed while on foot in the 8700 block of West Camelback Road in Glendale, police said.

Glendale Police Vehicular Crimes investigators gathered evidence from the scene, which included damaged vehicle parts.  Investigators said one or more of those parts happened to have a serial number stamped into them.

After completing research on that evidence, investigators said they believe the vehicle that hit Mangan could be a dark blue 2000 or 2001 Dodge Dakota pickup. Investigators said they also believe that the truck sustained noticeable damage to the front end.

Anyone with information should call 623-930-3000.
