The public is invited to a free lecture on A Photo Tour of Brown’s Canyon presented by the Sonoran Audubon Society at 7 p.m. May 15 at the West Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, 5904 W. Cholla St., Glendale.

Membership in the Society is not required. Refreshments will be served, and there will be a free raffle.

Speaker David Dise has traveled to 49 of the 50 states. After retirement, he took up photography, and birds are one of his favorite subjects.

Brown’s Canyon is rich in bird life, and Dise will show photographs of his trip there. For those with an interest in bird photography, his presentation will include tips and lessons learned, event organizers said.

The Sonoran Audubon Society offers frequent free bird walks. Check the website at
