Cardinals participate in Glendale backpack drive

The Arizona Cardinals will participate in the 14th annual Operation Backpack, scheduled from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Covenant International Church, 8807 N. 61st Ave., Glendale.

Arizona Cardinals tackle Jeremy Bridges, Cardinals Cheerleaders and team mascot, Big Red, will help pass out 2,000 backpacks to benefit less fortunate kids in the Valley.

Hope Endures, a nonprofit foundation, provides more than 2,000 elementary and middle-school children with new backpacks full of supplies and 1,000 pairs of shoes and socks.  

Hope Endures is a nonprofit organization with a mission to empower individuals and families to improve their quality of life, and to promote community cooperation and support in responding to family needs.
