The city of Glendale will host a career workshop and job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Foothills Recreation and Aquatics Center, 5600 W. Union Hills Drive.
Organizers are looking to fill more than 1,000 jobs from several local companies such as Empereon-Constar, Terminix, CSAA Insurance Group, Dignity Health, ZyTech Building Systems, the Glendale Police Department, Lowe’s, Fry’s and others.
Glendale is partnering with Maricopa Workforce Connections and Glendale Community College on the half-day event. Beginning at 10, the event will kick off with a workshop titled, “Utilizing LinkedIn to Network Your Way to Success.” The workshop will be on the second floor and led by Glendale Community College’s Dayna Mathews.
Participants learn the basics of conducting a job search in today’s economyn. Space at the career workshop is limited, and it is suggested guests come at least 30 minutes early to secure a seat.
Participant registration is not required for either the career workshop or the job fair. Employers can sign up by emailing Jeanine Jerkovic with the Glendale Economic Development Division at 623-930-2985 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Participants should come prepared with a resume and references.
