Silver Star Playhouse is looking for actors and actresses, 18 and older, for three upcoming musical comedy parodies and general productions.
Auditions will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Monday, with callbacks scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Those interested in auditioning need to call for an appointment between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 480-325-6700.
Come prepared with a one- to two-minute comedic monologue as well as 16 to 24 bars of an upbeat song. Bring sheet music in your key (no transpositions or CDs), and an accompanist will be provided. Those at callbacks may be asked to do a cold reading from the script. Those auditioning need to bring a non-returnable headshot and theatrical resume.
Auditions will be at Broadway Palm Dinner Theater, 5247 E. Brown Road, Mesa.
The musical comedy parodies and general productions are:
• “Phantom:” Oct. 4 through Nov. 25. Rehearsals begin Sept. 11.
• “Christmas:” Nov. 29 through Dec. 31. Rehearsals begin Nov. 6.
• Less Miserable: Jan. 6 through March 10, 2013. Rehearsals begin Dec. 10.
