Westgate rings in 2009 with Rock of Ages
Comments 0 | Recommend 0This New Year's Eve, Westgate City Center 21-and-older guests will party like it's 1979, 1989, 1999 and 2009.
Tickets are on sale for the third annual Westgate Rocks New Year's Eve presented by RideNow PowerSports. The Rock of Ages theme will feature music, fashion and entertainment spanning the decades, highlighted by specials at Westgate's many bars and restaurants and live entertainment from DJ Soulman and Valley-favorite Metalhead.
Interactive entertainment will begin at 8 p.m. Dec. 31 in Westgate's WaterDance Plaza and will include go-go dancers, giveaways and a roving camera broadcasting the crowd live on Westgate's 30-by-50-foot LED video screen. Tickets are $20 in advance, $30 the day of the event and can be purchased at www.westgatecitycenter.com or 800-919-6272.
Westgate's Fountain Park will ring in the New Year a little earlier. For the young and young-at-heart, family-friendly events will include live music, group games (limbo, musical chairs), arts and crafts, and a magician, face painter and caricature artist. This celebration is free and open to all ages and will ring in the New Year at 10 p.m.
