Arizona American aids residents in Sun City Water District

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

Arizona American Water Co. is offering financial assistance for low-income residents in the Sun City Water District.

Applicants must be full-time residents of the district, which includes Sun City and Youngtown, and 65 years of age with an annual income no greater than $15,315 for a single-person household or $20,535 for a two-person household. The household must have a dedicated water meter.

The program is limited to 1,000 households, so if you qualify, submit your application as soon as possible.

Households that share a water meter with other households are not eligible for this program.

Applications for the assistance program are available at the Sun City Taxpayers Association, 12630 N. 103rd Ave., Suite 144 (northwest corner of Coggins Drive and 103rd Avenue).

Todd Walker, Arizona American community relations manager, said the utility is in the process of setting up a process for customers to call the customer service center to request applications by mail. That program is in progress, however, and not in place yet, he said.
