Handyman sentenced in Tucson slaying
Comments 0 | Recommend 0TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — A handyman convicted of killing an elderly Sahuarita woman in 2007 was sentenced Thursday to life in prison with release possible after 25 years.
A Pima County Superior Court judge also gave Edward Terrazas Villa an extra four years for burglary and car theft, which will be served consecutively to the life sentence.
Villa was convicted last month of first-degree murder in the death of 89-year-old Robin Satinsky and of stealing her car. Authorities say the 64-year-old Villa had been doing work for the victim.
Family members reported Satinsky missing in late October 2007. Her body was located in the desert eight months later.
Prosecutors say Villa's DNA was found in the car. They say artwork and tea services belonging to Satinsky also were found in a storage unit belonging to Villa.
