Robber runs after clerk says no

Surprise Today

A man armed with a rifle or "paint ball-type weapon" fled a CVS Pharmacy in Surprise Tuesday when the clerk refused to comply after the suspect demanded: "Give me something," police said.

The man entered the store, 13870 W. Greenway Road, around 3:45 p.m, and fled the business on foot, southbound into a residential area.

The male suspect wore black sweatpants and a gray hooded sweatshirt. The suspect also was wore a gas mask. He is approximately 5 foot 8 and of medium build. The suspect may be a juvenile and is possibly white.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 623-222-4000.
